Waggy Daddys was built by a dog groomer who got tired of watching anxious dogs get rushed, seniors get pushed too hard, and pet owners hand over trust without knowing what's happening behind closed doors.
I’m Murphy, a Midwest-raised, LGBTQ+ business owner, lifelong animal protector, and professional dog groomer. I built Waggy Daddys for the pets who need patience, the owners who need peace of mind, and the groomers who deserve a better industry.
This is gentle, personal pet care with teeth. Love, dirty hands, dog hair, and zero shortcuts.
My name is Murphy. I’m a Midwest kid who grew up rooting for the underdog. I was the kid feeding strays, raising tadpoles in the backyard, and sneaking lizards into my pockets because I couldn’t stand the idea of something small getting hurt.
I’ve always been a protector. That’s why Waggy Daddys exists.
Waggy Daddys LLC is small, LGBTQ-owned, and built by hand. After years as a professional groomer, I saw what happens when anxious dogs, seniors, and sensitive pets get treated like numbers. I saw compassion get buried under speed, burnout, and profit. I saw animals come out of shops shaking. I saw how much trust pet owners hand over at the door, and how quietly that trust can be broken behind closed doors.
I wanted something different.
This business is for the dog who needs an extra minute. The senior who can’t stand forever. The anxious pet who needs extra patience without the pressure of a busy shop. The owner who wants to know their animal is being handled with individual care, and never rushed through a system.
My goal is bigger than grooming. I want Waggy Daddys to help shelters get dirty dogs clean and into homes, create better jobs for groomers, offer real hands-on training, and prove this industry does not have to chew people up to keep dogs looking good.
Every part of Waggy Daddys comes from love, dirty hands, dog hair, and the imagination of that kid with lizards in their pockets.
This is for the pets. This is for the people who love them. And this is for the next generation of groomers who deserve better.
